K wanted me to post the different variation I came up with for the Dis. 9-patch. I used the instructions from p.s.iquilt.blogspot.com. I only used two fabrics for each block and this is what I came up with.
I almost went with the one above, It had a really cool woven effect. I think it would be really neat to do the whole quilt in just two colors alternating the layout of the two different fabrics in the 9 patch.
In the end, I went with this one. I liked the cross/stars it made inbetween the blocks.
